I have never used a two line fax with SBS but I would think that so long as you have a driver for it then it would be the better way to go, I don't think the Fax Wizard supports multiple faxes.
I am working on the assumption that the two line fax you referenced would automatically load balance without the fax wizard needing to know there were two lines.
I would have to agree. SBS faxing typically uses a single line modem. You would need some sort of third party faxing application to utilize a multiline modem.

I use two modems. With the fax wizard all the incoming faxes come on Modem 1 and all outgoing on Modem 2. This way if you tying to fax something when you are receiving a fax they will not use the same line. You would really only need this setup if you do alot of faxing. I have another with only one and have no trouble.
When frustrated remember, in the computer world there is almost always a backdoor.
Thank you all for your great input. We are a mortgage company and we do a lot of faxing. I would say more incomming then outgoing. I have trained my users to send everything using the image send feature from the copiers which saves us a ton of money in phone bills.
nsanto17 you might want to look at a more robust solution than what SBS offers. There are some GREAT products that integrate well with Exchange and can deliver faxes directly to inboxes or go to a fax operator for directing if you don't have DID lines.
I used to use a product from a company I believe called Castile that was excellent. Just tired to find their web page for you and came up empty so I may have the spelling wrong.
The company you are referring to is Castelle. They produce a product called Faxpress. We are currently using an older version of Faxpress that is integrated with Novell. It will not integrate with Exchange. Only the new versions will.
We have cut down the amount of faxes that we do a lot by using the copiers. I just found out that we really only get incomming faxes. We don't send out that much at all.
