How can I tell if modem disconnects are at the ISP end or a problem my end?
The PC is a PII 266, running Windows 98.
I have:
* downloaded and installed the latest drivers for my 56k Maestro modem
* dialed an ordinary phone ok via hyperterminal
* unplugged the phone which was in the same socket and plugged the modem in direct.
Is there anything else I can try?
