Hi all,

I am the "on-site" tech installing a G700 / S8300. I am able to get into the switch using ASA. I can also get in through the web browser. Problem is, the engineer from the company I am installing it for cannot get in through the USB modem. He dials in and the modems answers. He is able to communicate with the modem but unable to gain access to the actual system. Another programmer claims there is a way to allow that access in the ASA terminal emulation.
Any ideas?

most likely his RAS is not workin correctly

or

did you create a "remote" login (with type = remote)?
you need to RAS in, then the S8300 will assign the IP, then he connect to this assigned IP and logs in again, with cust, dadmin, etc

if he does an ipconfig what IP address does he get?

can he ping 192.11.13.6, the modem IP or the LSP address?

Was the MSP licenses were enabled? this will allow u to create the "remote" login type

try check the MSP word on the disp sys cus
