Mobility features problem 3

Hi all,
anyone know how to solve this problem. I have a user twinned to a mobile, e.g. 0891234567 for mobility features.

I have an ICR pointed to FNE00 so calls on this ddi will look up the Mobility numbers and if they get a match, caller gets dial tone.

This works fine from within Ireland as the number is sent as 0891234567 but if the call comes from elsewhere the caller id is sent as +353891234567.

Without having to have 2 Mobility licenses for each user, does anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks in advance

TT

the incoming cli part doesn't come into play Bas because I can basically route any DDI to FNE, I don't have to enter the cli in this part.

The cli received however, is cross referenced with the table for user/mobility, and this is where we have issues.

TheTaker,
The CLI part does come in to play
Very often here customers have 10 DDI's and surely do not have any spare for FNE shortcodes
The 10 DDI's can do what they have to do and for every mobility user i make new ICR's with the CLI of there mobile phone
If you have a CLI entered in your ICR then it will match this over the mobility number !

Or does it look to the mobility user after that too ?

Then make system shortcodes and do not use ICR

+35123456789
FNE
0123456789
Line id 0

I never tried that shortcode but you are a perfect example to try it :)

I know what you mean peter, on some sites i have a ddi used 20 times, each with a different cli for fne features.

the shortcode you give still has to look at the user/mobility table for a match so won't work.

although i am about to test it when the little lad goes to creche

Well it does say "either the CLI or Mobile Twinned Number is shorter" and as the twinned number is obviously never going to change length once enetered they may as well omit that line from the docs as it is bullsh1t, they should say "If the CLI is longer than the twinned number it will not work e.g if you recieve 10 digits the twinned number needs to be 10 digits long". Either way I am now going to report it as a fault myself as I love a good argument with self righteous tossers who just quote docs at you :)

The Taker -You can try this, this is a solution that I received from Avaya for a while ago:

Please type on the NoUser Source Number the following: -

oneXdigits2match=9

This should allow the One X to make the match to the last 9 digits of the CLI received, matching to the User mobility number entered.

Do not use Merge, do a reboot.

doesn't work peter, call is always checked against mobility user but can't alter how it reads the cli.

2nd option is cheat the system by looping an s-bus back into itself, mimic the caller id being sent. this way i can give mobility to every user, but use original cli as security. this would actually work out cheaper than the licenses! I think i'll try this and post a helpful tip, get back at avaya!

That's cool if that works, I see some stars coming :)

have to look up your thread about the s-bus cable now andy. i already have this feature working with sip but you need 2 x ipo so a little bit too expensive, but the theory is correct.

TheTaker did you try Loddes solution above ?

A loop back trunk is fun indeed
I never tried it on the ipoffice but did on a Mitel

I love those. "oh dear sorry. too late now though. All done. bye"

Never argue with an idiot. bystanders won't be able to tell the difference.

Have you ever been dialled into a system and done a "when free", and after watching calls finish in call status waiting for your dial in to drop to indicate it's rebooting you realise it isn't ever going to be "free" as long as you are dialled in...I have, waited a good hour before I realised :)

Thanks Lodde, that worked a treat!

and before you ask, setting it to 3 or lower doesn't work, merge doesn't work either, couldn't be bothered checking if 4 or above does (can't really see the use)

thanks all for the input

Nice one, in the thread archive it goes, has this site been down for the last few hours or what? :)

TheTaker, it's quite disturbing that when you spoke to Avaya they didn't even know their own fix, ring them up and sound clever by saying you fixed it :)
