Does One-X Mobile provide call-setup to/from the PBX over the Data channel of the mobile device, and then the PBX launches the call to the Mobile? Or does the mobile always initiate the call?
My fear is that I wanted to launch One-X mobile in an attempt to reduce the cell charges when folks are traveling around the world, but it still looks like they would incur the charges as soon as they answered the phone.
I had posted something similar to this in April, but since then I wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with having audio traverse the data channel on a mobile/cell phone.
We have been 'grandfathered' into a global unlimited Data plan with our Service Provider and we'd love to leverage that for VoIP calls. I've read about Google Anroids App Guava and Gizmo5's VoIP Service providing this - but has anyone tried this? Thoughts with Skype on a mobile?
May be the wrong forum - but thought I'd give it a try.
Thanks,
