We have an IPO Server Edition Rls 10.0 with an expansion IPO500v2. We are utilizing Mobile Worker licenses for 295 users with Softphones. The Softphone will be installed on approximately 150 computers. A day shift worker will login as user xxxx and answer calls from a Group call and at 1 pm the day worker will log out. The afternoon worker will login as user yyyy and answer calls from another Group call. My question is will we need 295 Mobile Worker Licenses or 150. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Do you get a softphones with a mobile worker license?

Thanks for your reply. Even though 150 users will be logged out at any time during the day we will still need a license per user? I am just trying to understand the difference when using an IP set license and a Mobile Worker license.

I could be wrong but I believe this is how it would work:

If you have 150 licenses you can assign 150 users Mobile Worker at once. So to only need 150 licenses you would have to re-assign the Mobile Worker licenses every time there was a shift change. I am doubting that is feasible.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

I thought mobile worker licenses are not available on server edition? Only Office Worker and Power User?

Sharp gntsfan8690. I think you are right.

Yep, only office and power user on server edition and yep, these licences are assigned to users and not based on concurrent usage, so if you have 50 licences you can only assign them to 50 users, you can not assign them to 100 users and only the first 50 who login consume one (this is the opposite of how the old PMPro licences worked).

How about Teleworker, does that work on Server Edition

No, what's wrong with Office Worker? =)

I had to purchase Power User Licenses, apparently Avaya Server Edition only supports Power and Basic user.

Well, that's not correct.
I have customers with Office Workers in Server Edition.

Server Edition does not support Mobile Worker and Teleworker.
There are no basic user licenses, it just a regular user.
