We are presently in the process of migrating our server and software from Legato 7.1. build 322 to Legato 7.2.2 Networker. I have 18gb allocated to the /nsr filesystem. I have 18 clients, and 10 of which are set for 3 month browse policy, and the other 8 are set for 1 month browse policy. Unfortunately, I'm running out of space on the file system. I realize that I could link the index directory to another server through NFS, however I would prefer not to do that at this time. My dilema is, we've upgraded over the past several years from Networker 6.0 to 6.1, to 7.1, now we'll be going to 7.2. During the upgrades in the past, a co-worker saved certain files mmvolume0001.old, mmvol00001. The mmvol00001 is dated Jun 18 20004. Because of my inexperience at that time, I'm not sure if they can be removed or if they are being utilized by the present version, 7.1 Networker.

Is there any reason why these file would be needed? Can they be deleted? I know the mmvol00006 directory is the current directory. I'm questioning the files from 1999, 200, 1998.
because removing these files would free significant space.
Can I shutdown the daemons and remove with 'rm' or should I use a different command? My filesystem is at 95% capacity and hovers here almost constantly. I would like to clean this all up before moving to the new version.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
