Does anybody know what the heck this is? I can't find any references to this service. We have a mission-critical function that is dead in the water due to some error related to this service! HELP HELP HELP!

Have you attempted to come up in safe mode and try to find out what this "service" is and react to what you find?

No, I don't think so. I am not in charge of the server operations, I am trying to help research. Do you mean if they start up and verify each service? How would that help, since the server isn't functional until all the minimal services have started?

Is MMD a minimal service? My answer would be no as this service is impossible to locate anything for. Therefore, it must be an add on that was placed there, or spyware/adware that hasn't been "published" yet. Once in safe mode, you can identify better what this service is.

Yeah, this server is running critical apps that are third-party, so maybe it is a service that only runs under their application umbrella. Somehow it got fixed in the meantime, but thanks for the input.
