MMC.EXE process hangs after logoff 1

Here's the skinny:
Whenever I log off of our server, the mmc.exe proces hangs and eventually the "end process" console appears. Sometimes up to 3 times before it will kill it. Anybody have any idea where this might be coming from? Sometimes it doesn't happen at all, but more times than not.

Yeah i get that occasionally. I find the mmc.exe to be quite unstable at times. And sometimes when you exit the console it stays in memory. I also find if someone has logged onto the server in through TS and just disconnected the session with a mmc still open, will sometimes cause this.
My advice, dont worry about it.

Yep I agree, this seems to be pretty common.. it happens randomly when i reboot or shut down my server both on my live and dummy system! I don't worry about it, it doesn't seem to have any adverse effects!

I see this MMC hang on my Windows 2000 server w/SP2 sometimes too. I'm a consultant and have performed many Win2K installation on different hardware and in different configurations....At every client site, I have experienced this at one time or another.,..
