MMC.EXE hogs cpu now.

Fixed one problem on a new server with process explorer showing me that an old application was hogging my cpu usage on the server. Now if I open mmc.exe, it hogs the cpu. I can work with user accounts on the other dc, then replicate, but if I use it on the new server, locked up tight. I am able to close it using Process Explorer, which is a good thing. Anybody seen this before.

glen, i had the same thing on my exchange box - kiled them all and things speeded up for a while.

close and disable anything you don't need.

that shouldn't do that, though. MMC is a small app. How much memory do you have?

Are you using Exchange?

Other than that, make sure everything has all the patches and updates.
