I have Windows XP Home and XP Office Home (that doesn't include Access). Can I safely install Access from my old Office 97 package?

'Normally' , yes.
Create a Restore point before doing it though, just to be on the safe side.

Thank you marcs41, I'll do just that.

Hey PeDa...
If you want to have Acc 97 but Office XP (Excel, PPT, Outlook & Word), you need to install Acc 97 first and then Office XP. This is the 'proper microsoft' way to avoid any problems.

With all MS installs, you always need to install lower (older)version 1st, then newer version.

Hello tazman.

Thank you for this warning; luckily I had no time yesterday evening. I'll remove the preinstalled Office XP first of all.
