Setup:
Windows NT4 domain with 60 computers and Windows 2003 domain running only Exchange 2003 in native mode with a two way trust between the domains.

Problem:
I am trying to add a UDG to the client permissions on a public folder. The error message I get when I hit ok, is the following: "80004005 Exchange System Mangager"

From what I understand if you try to add a UDG so long as you are running in Native mode, it will automatically try converting the UDG to a USG using the RUS (Recipient Update Service).

I have checked to make sure the server is in Native mode, I have checked to make sure the RUS (enterprise and domain)are installed and running, I have updated both and rebuilt both to no avail. I have checked the event viewer and it gives me the following message:

Unable to set permission for DL /o=anysite/ou=First Administrative Group/cn=Recipients/cn=allusers@anysite.com because it could not be converted to a security group. This most likely is because your system is in a mixed domain.

It is in a mixed domain but only insofar as the trust set up between the two. If it means it is running in "Mixed Mode" then according to the server...it is not. The server says it is running in "Native mode". Also, if it were in "Mixed Mode", then the RUS would not be available.

Has anyone encountered this problem before or have any ideas on how to deal with it? Thanks in advance for any information you can all provide.
