Mitel 3300 ResetLoginPassword command

Hi I read the previous posts regarding resetting passwords in the 3300 but unfortunately with no success.

I have a 3300 cxi ii bought on ebay for my home use and do not have access to the RTC shell via telnet because I don´t know user or password

I can connect via rs232 but I cannot seem to use any of the ResetLoginPasswords that Supernova99 kindly mentioned.

Any help would be hugely appreciated

on 5 you should use:

Reset_All_Login_Passwords

from the RS232 cable

This is what the documentation says: The command is entered as RESET_ALL_LOGIN_PASSWORDS "username" from the Maintenance Terminal connected to the RS-232 port and as ResetAllLoginPasswords (no underscores) from the RTC shell (Telnet port 2002).

Amazing. I just cannot get it to worl. I dont have the telnet 2002 port password either

Will keep on waiting for more suggestions.

use system and sx2000 to log on to the port 2002 interface then use the command given above, I have used this with success but not managed to get the other one working

Use quotes "" around the command i.e. "Reset_All_Login_Passwords

Thanks for all the help. The situation is (version (5.5):
- the reset commands such Reset_All_Login_passwords do not work on the console port
- I can access port 23 to the sx2000 interface
- I cannot access the telnet 2002 port because I dont have login/password

Any further ideas?

I don't have the version handy, but from the RS232 port, try:

ResetAllLoginPasswords

Cut and paste the results...

The 5.5.2 looked odd to me, but I didn't clue in at first... that's not the 3300 software version, that's the VxWorks kernel version.

If you don't enter the username then it should do all of them...


You have tried with all uppercase because its case sensitive...
