Hi i'm a tek tip virgin so please be nice?

I have two sites with Avaya INDeX systems, and have installed a Mitel 3300 as a gateway on either site with IP trunking (this works fine).

The problem i have is on site A the ISDN line is connected through the Mitel system, and have a DPNSS link to an Avaya INDeX system.

When a call comes in and the called ext is on divert to voicemail (INDeX Voicemail) at all times and on busy this works fine, however when it's on divert on no answer to voicemail the ext rings then times out (as if voicemail has answered), but the caller still hears ringing and after about 2 minutes the call cuts off.
Then the called ext receives a voicemail message, which is a message of ringing and you also hear the caller.

If that makes sense?????????

Can anyone please help!!
 
What type of integration between the Avaya's and the 3300's? Q-Sig? If Q-Sig, what Q-Sig options were purchased? And, is "DPNSS/QSIG Diversion Enabled: " enabled?
 
We have DPNSS between the two Avaya'a and Mitel's and "DPNSS/QSIG Diversion Enabled: " is enabled? Funny the way diversion to voicemail works on divert always and divert to voicemail on busy, Just divert on no answer has a problem???

What about trunk timers? Maybe the call is recalling before it forwards and the pbx's don't know how to handle this (gotta luv Q-Sig!). Try extending the Call Forward No Answer timers in the trunk classes of service to 180 seconds.
 
I tried the timers did'nt work???
It turns out it was the software on the Avaya INDeX system, something Avaya was not aware of!!!! Upgrade system now working ok.
 
Did'nt even cross my mind it was anything to do with the mitel????????????????
