Hello everyone,
I am the SA for my network and I have found a problem that has me cornered. NT4.0 SP6. When I log into my PDC or BDC (whether it's me or my Server Operators), the bottom half of my Start Menu>Programs items come up missing. I have no entries for Administrative tools, DNS Manager, WINS Manager, etc.
This happened on a fresh hard drive/OS install and all shortcuts for programs installed since will show fine. This only happens on the PDC or BDC. When I log on workstations, everything is fine. This shows me that it is not a profile problem.
I have been all through Policy Editor (net & reg) in an attempt to find a setting for this type of restriction on the server local machine but found nothing as specific as this. (I know there are Start Menu settings within Poledit but have not found anyhting this specific) Am I overlooking something?
Any assistance would be appreciated. Creating desktop shortcuts to these items is sloppy and diving into winnt\system32 or typing the path into the run command everytime is simply a pain.
Thank you.
