I am setting up a 5 user peer-to-peer network using Windows XP Home version. On our old Windows 95 setup, whenever a user started to shut down and other users had files open, a popup would warn the operator that other users were on the system and still had open files.
With the new Windows XP, this seems to be missing, and a user is able to shutdown with no warning, leaving other users hanging. I know you can check on shares & open files in the Management aplet, but most users won't bother, or forget.
Is there an XP setting, or maybe some utility, that would accomplish the same result (a pop-up warning) as the old Windows 95 system?
Thanks for any help.
