where can I download the microsoft dao 2.5/3.5 library? It shows up as missing and Access won't recognize Date()

So it is not in the list when you try to add a reference to it?

Yes it is in the list with a check mark next to it, but it says MISSING.

And no other version of DAO you can check mark ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

I don't really think that is your problem. I may be wrong and if so I'm sure that someone will correct me, but the only DAO library that I ever reference is the DAO 3.6 Object Library an I have no problem with the date function. Not to metion that I can think of no reason why a missing DAO reference would have any bearing on a built in VB function in the first place.

When a project has MISSING reference then lot of VBA builtin functions become unavailable.

I stand corrected.

Go to microsoft.com search for mdac_typ.exe I had the same thing happen just recently with all Access programs at my job. Not sure what caused it but was probably some update push on the network that messed up a dll file somewhere. Anyway, it works now.[sunshine]
