We are running Metaframe XP with FR2 on Windows 2K with SP3. When I try to modify the Citrix Connection Configuration I get the following error... "This connection has been configured to use a Lan Adapter (index 0) which does not currently exist. Select a new Lan Adapter to reconfigure this Connection." The title of the error box is Citrix Connection Configuration ERROR. The only option is to click OK. Then another smaller window pops up that has the same title, "Citrix Connection Configuration ERROR" with no content. It's completely blank except for the "OK" button. I click OK and it just goes away. When I go to select another Lan Adapter, the drop down list is blank. The server is up and running just fine otherwise. There are several users connected without any problems except I can not change the printer config. I have scoured the Citrix Knowledge and Support areas and am unable to find anything on this that works. I've tried reinstalling the NIC, but still no joy. Anyone had the same problem?????

Try using Terminal Services Connection Configuration, does that do the same?

Cheers,
Carl.

How many nics are there in COntrol Panel Networks. I have seen some funnies that can cause probs when you have two nics in the same box and you configure 1 and leave the other disabled. If you start playing with then then it can cause problems. I would look here after Ogi's suggestion.

Good idea Carl. Checked and it seems I get a snap-in error saying MMC failed to initialize. Doesn't happen on the other servers in the farm. So I'm beginning to wonder if I have to rebuild this little monkey.
Scott we do have 2 Nic's both Broadcom NetExtreme Gigabit Ethernet adapters. One is enabled, the other is disabled.

What do you guys think?

Regards,

Lee.

Hi,

What about removing them completely, booting up, log on as local admin, shut down, place the cards back in and then booting, log in as local admin, what do you get?

Cheers,
Carl.

I am not sure you will be able to remove them physically. SOme of these are on the mother board. But you may be able to disable it in the BIOS.

What happens when you swap abledness ???

Although it does sound like a corrupt registry entry.
