Missing items in TDBComboBox

I have a TADODataset (running a stored proc), TDataSource linked to a TDBCombo.

For some reason only a single item is added to the list. If I also connect a DBGrid, the full resultset is shown, and if the selection is changed here, the value in the combo also changes.

Need to use TDBLookUpCombo...

Anyone actually ever used the TDBCombo ?

I suppose you could use it for fixed value selection.
