We have a mirrored database but right now we are running of disk space at our aix tsm server ...

we have enough disk space to add another 4 gb of disk space but not enough space to mirror it is it possible to not mirror the additonal volumes of our database would there be an issue adding a volume in a database with all other volumes are mirrored?

No issue other then the obvious that your database isn't fully mirrored. If the drive dies which has the single non-mirrored database volume on it, you'll have to resort to recovering your TSM database from a backup. I'll assume you know the implications of losing your TSM database based on your environment's TSM database backup scheduling..
