mirror set on widows 2000

I'm having trouble creating a mirror set on my Windows 2000 machine. I have made both disks dynamic but when I go to make the mirror set Hold down CTRL key and select the volumes the add mirror option is greyed out. Both are 20GB drives. Any ideas?

I have found that the drives cannot be ready formated, if you select an area of freespace the option will be available.
