Problem:

Novell 4.11 server running 2 8 gb mirrored drives.
(IDE)

The drives are getting old so I bought 2 40gb drives.

I installed one of the 40 gb drives as the slave and loaded install. Selected new disk and created a Netware partition identical to the first (old) drive. When I try to mirror the new drive to the old, I get an error message about the partitions not being the same size, so I went back and tried to match up the hotfix numbers, but on the new drive I am always one number off off old drive? Still no mirror.

As a last result I tried to use DiskCopy 3.0 (suppose to handle netware partitions) but that looked like It worked, but when I booted the new drive there was no volume.

Any thoughts or help greatly appreciated -

Rob

I've had this before as well, I usually have to make the new partition slightly larger than the older Netware partition, say 500 meg bigger.
