A Couple of weeks ago I got the following minor alarm on one of our G650 port networks. This had been in service for 4+ years.

ALARM REPORT

We had not made any changes in this port network to cause an eda alarm but it is showing one... I can't get rid of it. Any ideas? I have tried everything short of rebooting the port network. It has a lot of CLAN's that has 1000 ip phones registerd to them...

Defective tn775 in cabinet 10 or short on the contact closure leads of the aux cable in cabinet 10 would be a good place to start.

Maybe unplug the aux and swap the tn775 with a different cabinet and see if the trouble moves.

port network 10 is a G650 pair, Avaya put it in 2-3 years ago for us. Was center stage attached, not ipsi. Didn't have a maintenance board even installed. We put a Tn771 in just to see if that would clear the alarm and it didn't. do have ipsi's in this port network now, so maybe the adapter which has the external alarm connector(db9) may be bad...???
