Within the next two weeks I will begin the process of migrating database server to a new Windows 2000 platform running SQL 2000 from a Windows NT platform running SQL7. I have three SQL servers. Two of which are running MDAC 2.5 and the other running MDAC 2.6. I have a number of DTS Job running under both MDAC versions. Using DTS much of my data comes from an AS400 using IBM's Client Access software for ODBC connectivity. I also import data from an old verson of Oracle version 6.0 on a RISC box. One if these servers is used for our intranet applications.

What are some of the issues I am likely to encounter moving to this new platform? Where can I get additional information to help prepare for this migration?

Check out faq183-1781 - "What Should I Expect When Upgrading to SQL 2000?" I recently added it in this forum. Let me know what you think. What should I add, modify or remove? Terry L. Broadbent - DBA
