Hello,

Apologies for this question, it has probably been answered before...

I have an Exchange 5.5 environment running on an NT4 domain, we also have AD running on Windows 2000 SP4.

My users authenticate to their exchange mailbox's via NT4 domain, and AD is used for web authentication etc...

I installed a W2k3 server and installed and prep'd Exchange 2003, I have a co-existance with my 5.5 server and all looks good...as in I can see my Exchange2003 from within my Exchange Admin on my 5.5, all the verify's came back successfull.

My question is how do you migrate just the mailbox data, as the users already have an AD account, the ADMT tool describes importing the NT accounts but I don't think I need to do this??

How does the Information Store date from the 5.5 box map itself to the right account in AD?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

in the version of ADUC that installs with the E2K3 admin tools, right click the user account(s) - exchange tasks - move mailbox.

This assumes the same site and org.

Did you install the Exchange 2003 Server on your Windows 2000 AD or you upgraded to 2003?

I have a W2K DC running the AD, the W2K3 running Exchange 2003 box has been added as a member server.

I now need to migrate the Exchange 5.5 data into the Exchange 2003.
