it is possible to migrate networker 7.2 on a server windows 2003 standard edition to a unix server ????
 
yes,
you can migrate from Windows to Unix but you have to upgrade your licenses.

This is really a rare scenario. I have not done it myself yet. But i think there is no straight answer. And possibly there is no other solution than scanning your tapes.

There are 2 obvious reasons:
- recovering the bootstrap is impossible as NW will only
write to the exact pathname. This of course must be wrong
when you cross platform families.
- FTPing the index is also not an option.
This has to to with the CPU type (little endian/big
endian).

Sorry, but i do not see any other possibility.

And of course you need complete new licenses.
