Hello,

We have dared migrating from Foxpro 2.6 to Foxpro 8.0. (!)
At this moment we have several errors, e.g. :
"index does not match the table".
We are pretty sure that there is no problem with the indices and tables.

We saw that the our Foxpro 8.0 application was opened twice per user on the server (win2000), on the client pc the task list showed only 1 instance.

We made a simple fox 8.0 test program (1 open table and a form/button)
and also this one was opened twice.

We are using the original tables (dbf/cdx), formerly used with 2.6, with Foxpro 8.0.

Can anyone explain what could be happening here and why the application is opened twice on the server ??

Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure is not absolutely sure. It still sounds like your index file is corrupt. Delete the index file (IDX or CDX) and recreate from scratch. REINDEX is not sufficient.

As for opening twice, are you seeing 2 instances of the executable open or 2 connections to files?

Even more Fox stuff at:

These are the following errors I get:
114 the solution for this should be a reindex or total new build of the indexes.
But the strainge thing is when I try it again it works fine and there is no error

108 the file is open on the network.
But I use all my tables shared so how is this possible??

The thing of the 2 connections
1 is execute and 1 is read.
I know there is a possibility to have a data environment in your project how can I check this and delete it because I never used it in 2.6 so why do I need it now
