Hi,
Some years ago , while building reports with an old Business Objects 4 version we decided to recreate the repository in the production database after having created tens of complicated reports. After migrating to the other database all reports were lost, nothing worked anymore.
Comment from B.O. was that this could have been prevented by applying the check "save for all users". However , this is only allowed for shared or personal connections that universes use. When I am creating a new universe, I cannot choose for the type of connection (only secured is available).
Can someone explain the current strategy in the current version 5.1.3? (or direct me to where the info resides)
(By the way , Andy thanks for your reply on the issue of switching from ORACLE to DB2)
