Am looking to upgrade my IIS4 NT4 server to IIS5 W2K. Current server is standalone, and we are using NTFS security to lockdown certain areas of our website. I would like to do the same on IIS5, but can't find a way to migrate the users between standalone machines. We have a lot of users to migrate, so re-keying them is a last resort. There is a nice checklist for IIS4 on Microsoft's site, but can't find same for IIS5. Does anyone know of one? The IIS4 recommendations were to leave the machine standalone. Is this still the recommendation for IIS5 or should I take this to AD (would have to be on a separate domain as this machine sits in our DMZ and has no access to our in-house network)?
