I've spent a lot of time customizing the Group Policy on my laptop, including many security settings, and I want to be able to *quickly* apply those settings to new computers on the home LAN. (non-domain)

I know I can use .inf files to build a custom Security template (done) for importing, but that doesn't cover all of the Group Policy settings (force Classic start bar, etc). Is there a way to "export" my settings into a file(s), and then apply/import them on a new computer? It would save me buckets of time.

thanks for any advice

Bump.

Does anyone know how to move your Group Policy settings to another computer?

Are there any clues here or are they just going to give you the same results you have already achieved?

On a stand-alone computer running Windows XP Professional, local Group Policy objects are located at systemroot\System32\GroupPolicy.

Linney,

Thanks a lot - that's what I needed to know.
