Mics xc 4.0 to 7.1 1

I have a system that has Mics xc 4.0 and I need to upgrade to Mics xc 7.1. Can any one tell me if this requires more than one upgrade tool version? Can just one be used and if so which one?

4.0 > 6.1 > 7.1

You can't go all the way in one step.

Thanks for the reply! Do you mean on the upgrade tool version or the software version or both?

You must first go from 4.0 to 6.1 with a upgrade tool for the right sized system. Then you can go from 6.1, to 7.1. I've done this many times without issues. Follow the instructions that come with the upgrade kits.

I didnt realize that the upgrade tool kits were sized for the system? Can you explain what you mean? Thanks
