MICS upgrade question

im upgrading a mics 6.0 to xc 7.0 can i just replace the s/w card or do i need an upgrade tool?

I'm thinking upgrade tools became a thing of the past after 4.1 but I know this for sure, there are no guarantees when it comes to upgrades now. Even if you do everything right, you may still lose your programming.

I would go from mics 6.0 to mics 6.0 xc, then use the mics 7.0 xc upgrade tool to go up to mics 7.0 xc.
I never had a problem with mics upgrade, guess i'm lucky
so far...

up grade is complete guys- and without any programming, i simply replaced the s/w card and everything came back the way it was( 90 phones) SO WHEW!
