MICS Ring Assignment

I am looking for a solution. I have a situation where a dept is looking to have a distinctive ring for only 1 of the 4 lines coming into the department. They are on a NORTEL MICS. Suggestions?

You need software 6.1 or up for distinctive ring on lines.
What level do you have?

That helps, we are at 6.0. Any work around that you can think of?

If open area get a spare phone, change the ring typ, turn volume up.

Or an Aux ringer in the ceiling.

Pretty much what I had come up with too. Thanks a bunch for the input, just thought maybe I was missing something.

I don't recall if dist ring on hunt groups is available for 6.0 or not but if so you could put that line into a hunt group, assign that group to all the phones in the dept, and give the group a dist ring.
