I am reinstalling a MICS. I can not get a PRI installed due to provider issues so we are going back to Loop / Analog trunk.

I have changed the KSU modules back to LOOP and I have changed all the lines and station permissions back to Pool A but when dialing 9 then the number I am getting "No Lines Available" or something like that. I am not at the site right now.

I can not locate the dial line access number option such as dial "9" or other digit option ( if there is such an option ) for verification.

I have worked on MICS before and have never had this problem. I usually work on Partner most of the time.

I know the pin out on the block is strange. I plugged a 25 pair AMP onto the KSU port with the telephone pole icon which I have done before on other installs and I still can't get dial tone.

NAM works ok and the rest of the internal station features are ok. I am considering defaulting the whole thing back to factory startup. There is a ton of extensions that really need to be removed anyway.

Any suggetions. Would a factory default be advised?

I saw a post with instructions on how to convert LOOPS to PRI. So I guess I should make this simple by asking how to convert PRI back to LOOP.

Under Services -> Routing Services -> Dest Codes, check the route that "9" is using.

Next, under "Routes", check that route to be sure that it is set to "Use: Pool A".

Thanks for the help. I followed your instructions on another system at the same office that is already set up for loop service. However on the PRI system it would not work. I posted this new post. Perhaps you know the answer.

Thanks!

This customer wants to use LOOP lines instead of the PRI. Let me ask you. In this carrier I have a fiber card for the station module and then there is the card that the PRI plugs into.

I have a 25 pair AMP with 24 LOOPs plugged into the carrier. I can not seem to get dial tone to the station sets there is another system already installed with POTS lines and I get dial tone at the station sets just fine.

Do I need to install analog loop cards into the carrier for example 8 ports trunk cards or will just plugging the AMP cable into the port with the Telephone Pole icon allow me to pull dial tone.

What cards should be in what slots for this carrier?
