When a call comes in on Line 1 and sometimes on Line 2 the customer answers it, puts it on hold, pages someone, and the call disconnects. I cannot reproduce the issue. This same problem happened on their old 824. Now it happens on the MICS. Has anyone seen an amplifier issue cause a call to disconnect? I know it is a strange question. Of course, I am leaning towards it being a carrier problem.

We have replaced the whole system and it still happens. I just wanted to make sure the paging was not causing this to happen.

I've had issues with paging and etc, where the fault lies with the user not the phone system.
If you went out and cannot duplicate issue, get the person that called in the trouble to show you what they are doing.
If this issue happened on a 8x24 and happening now on this system, I am leaning towards a user error.
The amplifier is outside the phone system and will not cause a hangup.

There are 2 users who have this happen. 1 user has been there for years. We replaced their phones and it still happened. We watched them and could never duplicate it. I lean towards the carrier but just needed confirmation.

Are they using the same phones? Could be an issue with a phone...it's a long shot, but possible.

Why put them on hold, when on a line press the page key it automatically puts them on hold.

Measure the voltage of the line when idle and then on hold.
