I have MICS 7.0 that will flash the name of a user[Ext 222 Jane Doe etc.] on the receptionist phone[Ext 221] for about 1 second with a short tone.I can not figure out what is causing it.Has anyone come across this problem before.Any help would be much appreciated,Thanks

are there answer DNs on this phone?

Not 1 Answer DN is programed on the system.I had to replace a defective system from a 1.1 and I put all the programming in the system myself this past Monday. This is when the issue appeared. Thanks for replying

Are lines all primed to 221..drt to prime also?

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Luv2ski,the system is setup with a T-1 non PRI with DID's.Only the main DID nunber is set to prime to Ext 221.All other target lines are set to prime for the Ext that the DID is targeted at.Thanks

Curlycord, not anything else is happening on the recepetionist telephone except a quick flash of a name[can be any Ext]and a short tone.No voice call,no led flash on Intercom or any other key.I have nether seen this before. Thanks

What happens when you call reception internally. could it be it is going to voicemail, and thats why you are getting the tone?

[can be any Ext]
That helps!
But what happens when you call in? from the callers point of view?.

phoneguy on right path I think.
F984 was invoked (forward to vmail)
It will give 2 pitches (1 of each) of tones quickly.

F984 again to turn off.
