MICS Expansion

I have a system(6.1) that has a 6 port fiber expansion card in it. All six ports are in use. How do I add modules past 6? What equipment/ software do I need? Is the process of upgrading very disruptive? Thanks...

You need another 6-port fiber card (or a combo card) and XC software.

I can't speak to the difficulty of the upgrade, having never gone through one.

You can add another 6 port fiber expansion, but you can only use 4 of the new ports unless you have Companion phones, the other 2 are reserved for Companion.

Is the upgrade process very disruptive? Generally what's the cost for the XC software?

cost depends on the vendor who sells it ...
and so is the upgrade ... (sorry i had to say this, becos of my experiences)

from 6.1 to 6.1 XC, as stated in the installer manual ...shutdown, pull hte old s/w put in the new one in, power up, wait for bootup, shutdown, install the next 6p card, power up and wait for boot up.
unplug all tails but one during this process
