MICS 7.1 to 3.0

I have an MICS with 7.1 software. I need to downgrade to 3.0. Is this even possible? If so, is there a special procedure I need to follow, and what is it?

Bootup with the 7.1. Do a STARTUP. When the display reads "Applying template" count to 5 and pull the plug. Swap the softwares and bootup. The 3.0 will come up in default condition.

Was wondering why u would want to down grade??

Because the customer has a NAM for VM which isn't compatible with 7.1 software.
