Curious to see what you guys think on this. Have an intermittent issue with a customer with 2 sites tied together with a point to point TI config'd as E&M. Both swtiches also have PRI for normal in/out traffic.

Both systems have XC4.0 sw.

The problem is the remote site is dropping calls across both spans. Errors alarms are as follows:

41
42
43
44
Evt 328
Evt 330
Evt 331
Evt 336
Evt 323
Evt 325

I know this points to connection and threshold alarms, but it's odd in that it affects both spans.

Any ideas?

the problem on one end of a T1 should reflect in the other end
4.0 had lots and lots of problems esp relating to digital trunks

yes i second must upgrade...5.0 was kinda ok 6.1 wi 6.10 is ok 7.0 is brandy new and may be a crap shoot

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

This site has been running for several years but is just now having this problem...but you guys think that the software might still be the issue?

Also, probably wasn't clear, the calls dropping problem is across two DTI cards on the same system- both the outbound PRI and the E&M tie line.

we yanked all 4.0 out and upgraded...issues with sys just freezing up with strange characters on displays...not to mention pri issues galore

Wow, that's crazy. Guess I've just been lucky, I've got several with 4.0 w/ no issues :)
