When inserting a picture from a file into a word document, I resize the picture and then want to move it around the page. Help says click and drag the picture?. This doesn't work for me. I have got the drag and drop text editing box in Options -> Edit selected.

have you checked what type of file you are using..bmp, jpg, jpeg, etc. In my experience it mattered and so all I did is converted the pic to some other type of file and it worked.. Tejanorey

"Do not attack the First Marine Division. Leave the yellowlegs alone. Strike the American Army."
- Orders given to Communist troops in the Korean War; shortly afterward, the Marines were ordered to not wear their khaki leggings to keep the enemy from immediately fleeing

This behavior can be affected your text wrap settings and anchor settings. Try changing the text wrap and anchor.

Have changed the text wrapping from the picture tool bar and I am able to move the image around the screen. Is there a way to set the default text wrapping so that you are able to select the picture and move it without having to change the text wrapping each time?????????.

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe someone else knows of something.

Right click on the picture, then format picture, layout, then chose the type if wrapping you prefer. It sounds like you have "inline with text".
