Ok I am at a loss. I have a client who received a document that she can not open on her PC. This is the ONLY word doc she can not open, all others open fine. And the word doc opens fine on every other PC I have tried it on. So the document appears fine, and like I said, she has no problems with any other docs. And no other PC has problems with the doc.
She has Win XP SP2, Office 2003. I have tried office repair, I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling office, I have tried system restore. The file is not tagged with anything special (ie, read only, hidden, etc...). For the life of me I do not know how to fix this issue short of wiping the whole PC. She is a local admin on the PC, and the PC has no policies on it or anything. The document has a flow chat in it, but thats it with graphics. Just the flow chart and text. And below is the error message received. I do not know what Text Recovery Converter is.
"Word experienced an error trying to open the file
Try these suggestions
*Check the file permissions for the document or drive
*Make sure there is sufficient free memory and disk space
*Open the file with the Text Recovery converter"
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?
