to open this object: An error occured and this feature is no longer functioning properly".
This error comes up when my user tries to Edit an Org Chart. I read that deleting fonts may resolve - I removed about 20 but she is still receiving error. Any other suggestions??

Thanks

Hi

This is taken from a MS KB issue:

"You may be experiencing problems with the Msoprefs.232 and the Msoclip.232 files. These are preference files and store data and settings for Orgchart.

These files are located in your Windows directory. Just delete them, and then start Organization Chart. It will re-create these files"

Have you tried that yet?

I dont have great powerppoint knowledge myself but I have decent sources normally where I can bottom out most error messages

Regards

Jamie

Thanks Jamie for your comment. I found that solution on IE somewhere and deleted those files...unfortunately that did not correct the problem. I am able to open and edit the chart on my 2 pc's..however, when I log on her machine as me, I get the same message..so there goes a profile issue. I ended up replacing the pc..tested doc logged on as user and I could open and edit! User had the pc for one day and the error is back again. I am banging my head against the wall now!
