Hey ya'll. The problem: My Dads PC (which I don't have access to)is running Win98, and I'm guessing Outlook '98. He can't open pictures he receives in his inbox. He tried to describe the icon of the attachment, which I couldn't figure out. I had him send it to me, and it opened in paint and had the standard .JPG extension. I emailed it back, and he still couldn't open it, saying it had the same icon. Sooooooo, I guess the question is, how do you change the default program to open pictures in Outlook?

Things I tried to walk him through was save as... under a different extension, but he said there were no other options, and Quick View which worked, but he couldn't print or anything, which he has to do for his business.

Thanks a lot in advance!! I love this site!

You could have him save the .jpg to his desktop. Then, while holding the Shift key, right click and select Open With. Choose Internet Explorer (or Paint if you want) from the the list and check the box for always open this type of file...

Has AOL ever been used on that computer? AOL does some funky things with graphics.

Hey, ok thanks. I'll have him try it. I don't think he has used AOL, but he bought the PC used, so who knows? Thanks again.
