running Office 2003 on a few different PC's, Windows XP Pro, on a Domain, Vpop mail server.

problem...
a handfull of users need to have 2 accounts set up on Outlook so we can mail from our other company names... it all works fine but all the ones with more than one account keep getting the 'user / password' box pop up??? ticking the 'save these settings' doesnt work... this is becoming a problem as the send and receive is set for every 5 mins (has to be) and it is that what is causing the box to appear!

any ideas??

I'm no Outlook expert but as none has come forward, a long shot ...

Is the saved userid / password correct? If it is wrong you will get the popup.

Enjoy,
Tony

thanks for the reply... but yes the user name and pass are correct. the account works fine just keeps asking for passwords... happens on all the machines with more than one account...

Can you provide us with more deatails on the account setup. Are both accounts to an Exchange Server, POP3 account, or something else?

Does the login prompt appear for both accounts or just one?

pop3 account... i dont know the ins and outs of it i just set the accouts up, the server is setup and maintained by my boss...

If you do a send receive individually for each account, instead of a send receive ALL,do you get a pop up box for each account or just this second account that you recently added?
