Microsoft Office Outlook error

I have a user who can open outlook just fine. But when she opens an email it says "Can't open this item. Out of memory or system resources. Close some windows or programs and try again." I reset her profile and the problem went away for about 2 hours and then returned.

Please help!

Sounds like you need more RAM in the pc...

It has 512MB and when you open the task manager it is using only about 200MB

hmm...
you definately have enough ram, atleast for office...and with only 200Mb being used I would think that it might be a problem with office...try running the repair option from your office CD...

I tried your suggestion. I did a repair which did not work and then did a complete removal and reinstall which did not work. The uninstall apparently does not completely remove office. It still remembered what my settings were.

There are a few possibilities for this error. Here's a couple:

You could also try the /safe or /resetfolders startup switches:
