I know since it's a Microsoft componant, it will be difficult to remove, but no longer wan't Microsoft messanger.
I get automaticly signed it, even though i've set the auto login setting OFF. and this happens on other computers with identical settings. i took it off the add/remove windows components, but its seems to still be there (i even got signed in after).

so a way to remove this program, of just disable it, would help a lot.

thanx

if you are with MSN as an isp or Verizon/MSN it is bundled so you need to change your homepage & way you access the internet.

i made these changes and MSM does not load with the do not login @ startup option selected.

This script by Doug Knox may be more directly aimed at what you want to do if you have several clients to handle:
Remember that:

. There is a Group Policy Object accessible through gpedit.msc to prevent Messenger from starting

. There is an option under OE to prevent messenger from starting

. If using Service Pack 1, the "Set Windows Defaults" iconic selection under Add/Remove Programs can disable Messsenger

. If using Service Pack 2, under IE, Tools, Manage Add-ins, you can disable Messenger
