Microsoft IE has encountered a problem and needs to close

When opening Internet Explorer 6, I am getting the folowing message:

Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. Under data the following message is stated:

error signature
appname: iexplore.exe
app ver: 6.0.2800.1106
modname: msucrt.dll
modver: 6.1.8293.0
offset: 00015497

I have uninstalled IE 6 and SP1 and internet tools and reinstalled. I have also updated all Microsfoft 98 updates.

Anyone have any ideas?

Downloaded and installed the above tool from link. Still same problem. Any other ideas?

I ended up reinstalling Window 98. Downloaded and installed
IE 6.0 SP1 and Internet tools. Problem solved.
