Microsoft AntiSpyware Beata 1 (Expires?) Then $$$?

I was happy with this AntiSpyware package, until a message is displayed that says it will expire in 130 days. Then contact Microsoft for an update?

I am not familiar with this concept. Will the update cost money, or is it a way to force the Beta version out of the market. And perhaps get users to "trust" the product then charge for it.

Microsoft have stated that Microsoft Antispyware will be a freeware program for all supported operating systems.

A new (non-beta) version will be released before yours expires, and it will remain free for personal use.

As a side note, when I looked at the page that I have linked to below, it was full of ads to download a "free smiley and enhanced toolbar program", quite ironic I thought.

Sorry for the Delay. Good to hear it will be free. Although NOTHING is free. I suspect they are going to use this to authenticities all the OS, which is fine with me.
