Alright, then. I have a little problem that is sort of hard to get around. A few days back I tried to erase my Internet Explorer and regain my old one. It went through, but froze halfway into the process. So, I resetted my computer. I then turned it back on and it went through it's original startup. But, after the "Microsoft Windows 98" page went off, I then encountered a blue screen that stated a "Fatal exception 0E has occurred at 016F:00000001." I clicked "Enter" and the computer restarted. I'm now getting that screen everytime I log on and it restarts everytime I push "Enter" or any other key for that matter.

Does anybody know how to get around this without having to erase all my files?

how did you erase your internet explorer? ie is not supposed to be removed because it is integrated with the os. anyways, try re-installing win98 over itself (aka over-the-top installation). this will not erase your files or any installed programs.

hope this helps. peace! [peace]

IE is not supposed to be removed only by microsoft. Have many situations acctually that we are forced to remove IE and reinstall it: virus effects, spywares infectations, etc. An excellent tool to full uninstall IE is IERadicator, you can obtain at: Remember to download IESetup from before run IERadicator, or get from another computer.

Uninstall OS is the last act to do, if not solve. Another cause to this problem can be memory problem, you can test your memory using MemTest, get at:
