Microsoft 2003...Can a download of the software be trusted off the net

Is there a web site tried and tested anyone knows of that I can download Microsoft 2003 XP..... I am having a lot of trouble with 2000 because someone uninstalled professioonal now nothing works right. It is outdated anyway but I am trying to save some money downloading versus buying as hard copy

If you download a piece of software (a CD image for example) on the internet (maybe a Torrent site), you may end up with little "goodies" that someone has placed in them, like viruses, trojans and root kits. I have seen this happen to someone download an XP CD image.

I'd make a copy of friend's CD, which is not a big deal, but you still need a valid license or else you are stealing. But, I don't think Microsoft is going to let you steal Server 2003 (if that's what you were referring to) because you have to activate it over the internet. So you are basically technologically prohibited from being a thief.

If you willing to take the risk. Personally you should either stick to 2000 or go Linux if you cant afford XP.

Is it even clear what this person wants?? He refers to "Microsoft 2003 XP" which is highly confusing since no such, exact product exists.

goombawaho I suppose you correct. Just like the educated partners I have here, they even came up with Office 2005.
